PRÊT1D SCREENING IS SHIFTING INTO HIGH GEAR!
THE NEW KEY MILESTONES OF THE STUDY
- 22 of the 28 centers in the INNODIA pilot phase are now open
- Transition to the new national PRÊT1D phase, promoted by the FFRD, scheduled for early 2027: addition of 12 new centers, gradual rollout of the digital platform
- A partnership with healthcare providers (Dinno Santé, Orkyn’, VitalAire) to disseminate information about the study.
KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER
- Any healthcare professional—whether in a hospital or a private practice—regardless of whether they are a study investigator, may offer the at-home self-collectionat home.
- This is a free screening test that measures levels of four autoantibodies (anti-insulin, GAD, IA-2, and ZnT8) using the ADAP (Antibody Detection by Agglutination-PCR) technique, , which has been validated for its diagnostic performance.
- All you need to do is discuss it with interested patients and give them the brochure with the contact information for the Cochin coordinating center. A poster for waiting rooms is also available.
- Patients contact us by filling out a short self-assessment questionnaire, and then we send them the self-collection kit.
- Upon receipt of the sample, we perform the test (turnaround time of approximately 4 weeks) and send the results to the referring physician listed on the self-assessment questionnaire:
— if the test is negative: the results are also sent to the participant
— if it is positive: it is sent only to the referring physician, who is responsible for informing the participant before arranging follow-up (a confirmatory blood draw). - If a screening test is positive, follow-up care is arranged in coordination with the specialist center chosen by the participant.
