The projects, which focus on <strong>type 1<\/strong> diabetes, <strong>type 2 <\/strong>diabetes or <strong>gestational diabetes<\/strong>, involve three different types of research related to the following:       <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>clinical research<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>basic research<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>translational research<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">At the end of the annual call for projects, to which various Francophone research teams apply, <strong>2 to 3 recipients<\/strong> are awarded <strong>a research grant<\/strong>. They include large multicentric cohort studies as well as more mechanistic and\/or interventional studies.
