The call for proposals for the 2022 FFRD Research Grants was open on 14 February.

For this tenth edition, the Francophone Foundation for Diabetes Research planned to support 2 research projects: 1 Clinical research project and 1 basic research project of 300K€ each.

This call for proposals is intended for Francophone researchers groups only.

The application forms must be submitted EXCLUSIVELY IN ENGLISH, with an abstract in French AND in English, in PDF FORMAT ONLY.

Projects must not exceed 8 pages, except abstract, CV and references.

The Scientific Council has to meet on Monday 3 October to preselect candidates who will be interviewed on Monday 14 November.

We would like to thank all candidates for their interest in the Francophone Fondation for Diabetes Research through their response to its call for proposals on last 14 February.

For this tenth year, the FFRD received more than 20 application files.

After a very close review of the projects, evaluated first by 3 appointed external experts and then examined at the meeting of the Scientific Council of
 3rd October:

6 candidates have been preselected for a face-to-face interview before the Scientific Council which held at the head offices of the FFRD in Paris, on November 14th 2022:

As announced, the FFRD will be supporting 2 projects : 1 clinical research project and 1 basic research project.

The final decision of the Scientific Council will be known following the meeting of November 14th when the 2 recipients of the 2022 FFRD Research Grants will be selected.
