2- Preselected

The Francophone Foundation for Diabetes Research would like to thank all the candidates who applied to its call for proposals that ended on 9 May. There were more candidates than the previous year!

As each year, the FFRD chose to prioritize research projects with those 5 following criteria: Originality, International Competition, Project Feasibility and consistency, and at last financial matching.

This year, the FFRD received 37 projects and the competition was hard since most of those projects were very good and even excellent.

Nevertheless, the Scientific Council has had to select only 8 candidates, for a face-to-face interview on Monday November 7th 2016, in the FFRD’s offices, who are:

  • Pr Fabrizio ANDREELLIParis
  • Dr Véronique AROCASParis
  • Pr Emmanuel COSSONBondy
  • Dr David DOMBROWICZLille
  • Pr Philippe FROGUELLille
  • Dr Boris HANSELParis
  • Pr Roméo RICCIIllkirch-Graffenstaden
  • Dr Nicolas VENTECLEFParis

The Francophone Foundation for Diabetes Research congratulates them!

The FFRD finally supported 3 research projects: 1 clinical research project, 1 basic research project and 1 translational research project of €300.000 each, which means almost 1 million Euros for this year!

The finale decision of the Scientific Council has been known following the interviews meeting of November 7th when the 3 new recipients of the 2016 FFRD Research Grants have been selected.
