The call for proposals for the 2014 FFRD Research Grants was open on 10 February.

For this second consecutive year, the Francophone Foundation for Diabetes Research planned to support 2 research grants: 1 clinical research project and 1 basic research project of €300K each.

This call for proposals is intended for Francophone researchers groups only.

The application forms must be submitted EXCLUSIVELY IN ENGLISH in PDF FORMAT ONLY, with an abstract in French, by filling in the submission form and by sending the application files by email before Monday 28 April.

The Scientific Council has to meet on Monday 6 October to preselect candidates who will be interviewed on Monday 17 November.

For the second consecutive year, the FFRD renewed its commitment to supporting two large-scale clinical and basic research projects, with an amount of €300,000 each.

We would like to thank the candidates who responded to the call for proposals of 10 February 2014 and submitted their application before 28 April.

The projects received were first evaluated by 3 reference experts and then were closely examined case by case at the meeting of the FFRD Scientific Council, which held on 6 October.

The Scientific Council preselected 6 candidates who underwent hearings on 17 November to elect the 2 recipients of he 2014 FFRD Research Grants.
