The Francophone Foundation for Diabetes Research has just finalized the awarding of its Research Grants for 2020.

After discussion, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that, for this year, 2 candidates were awarded the 2020 FFRD Research Grants, with two Grants of €300.000 each.

Dr Rémi RABASA-LHORET, Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) – Canada, for his Clinical Research Project « Identification of dysglycemia with continuous glucose monitoring: A prospective study to assess the relationship with clinical evolution in cystic fibrosis ».

Dr Julien DIANA, Inserm Research Director in Paris – France, for his Basic Research Project « Reshaping the gut microbiota with antimicrobial peptides to prevent type 1 diabetes ».

In the curent environment of worldwide health crisis, the FFRD can not organize a press conference, as previous years.

Nevertheless, both recipients of the 2020 FFRD research grants will have the opportunity to present their clinical and basic research projects through a press release, which will be sent to mainstream media and specialized press, early December.
