Research grants – 2015
The Francophone Foundation for Diabetes Research has just finalized the awarding of its Research Grants for 2015.
After discussion, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce you that this year 4 candidates were awarded the 2015 FFRD Research Grants, including a €300.000 grant, a €200.000 grant and two grans of €150.000 each.
The 4 recipients of the FFRD call for proposals for 2015 are :
- Prof. François PATTOU, University Hospital in Lille (France) for his Clinical Research project “The role of intestine in Type 2 diabetes remission after gastric By-Pass surgery”
- Dr. Roberto MALLONE, Inserm, Cochin Institute in Paris (France) for his Basic Research project “Oral Vaccination with Fc-coupled Preproinsulin for Type 1 Diabetes Immunotherapy”
- Dr. Daniela COTA, Inserm, NeuroCenter Magendie in Bordeaux (France) for her Basic Research project “The hypothalamic bile acid membrane receptor TGR5 as novel mechanism underlying the role of bile acids in metabolic control”
- Prof. Eugène SOBNGWI, Central Hospital in Yaounde (Cameroun) for his Clinical Research project “Unravelling the pathophysiology of Comorbid Infectious diseases and DIAbetes: the CINDIA study”.
The Professor Michel MARRE, President of the FFRD, is announcing “in live” the 2015 FFRD Research Grants recipients, on the occasion of the SFD Thematic Day, which held on December 11th, 2015, in the Salons de l’Aveyron in Paris.
